Membership
Who can join SVGTCCU?
Membership at SVGTCCU is open to anyone who is a citizen or resident of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as citizens of CARICOM member states.
What are the requirements to become a member?
- Two pieces of photo identification (National ID, Passport, Driver’s License)
- Proof of Address (Utility Bill, Account Statement, Property Tax Statement)
- Proof of Income (Job Letter, Recent Salary Slip)
- $355.00 ($300 Qualifying Shares, $55 Death benefit, $5.00 registration fee)
Who owns the credit union?
The members do. Each member holds a share in the organization.
Do I get voting rights?
Yes. Every member has a voice in how we’re run. Through annual general meetings (AGMs), where members elect board representatives and vote on key matters.
What are Dividends?
Members receive annual dividends on their equity shares, calculated based on the credit union’s financial performance. Dividends are distributed after the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and must be withdrawn from the equity shares account within three months
What are Equity Shares?
These are the shares that establishes your ownership in the credit union.
Services
Does the Credit Union offer Insurance?
Yes, all members are eligible to enroll in the KUTMED Health Insurance Plan, which covers Medical, dental, vision, plus additional benefits such as air ambulance services.
What is CUNA Advance Protector
The CUNA Advance Protector Plan is a life insurance policy offered by SVGTCCU Ltd. to its members with mortgages. It is designed to provide financial security for both you and your family. This policy ensures peace of mind, knowing your loved ones will be financially supported in the event of the unexpected.
What are the Nonbanking benefits of becoming a member of SVGTCCU?
Scholarships
SVGTCCU offers eight scholarships each year, recognizing outstanding academic performance and supporting education across the nation. Awards are given to the top male and female performers, as well as students from the Northern Grenadines, Southern Grenadines, Barrouallie, North Windward, South Windward and a disadvantaged financial need-based scholarship.
University Bursary
SVGTCCU offers a one-time Bursary Award to members pursuing tertiary education. To qualify, applicants must have at least 5 years of membership, $3,000 in Share Capital, be enrolled in a recognized degree program, maintain a “B” average after their first year, and not hold another bursary or scholarship.
Discounts at the SVGTCCU Supplies Outlet & Bookstore
The SVGTCCU Supplies Outlet & Bookstore offers a wide range of schoolbooks, school supplies, office essentials, and more. Members of the Junior Savers plan enjoy up to 5% discount on their purchases, making back-to-school and everyday shopping more affordable!

Absolutely, our loan officers are happy to sit down with you and guide you through the loan process.
What types of accounts are available?
TCCU offers its members various savings accounts, share accounts, and special deposits which include retirement savings and fixed deposits, all designed to help your money grow.
Are there monthly fees?
No monthly fees! Your savings stay with you.
Can I open multiple accounts?
Yes, members can hold more than one account to manage personal and business finances separately.
Does SVGTCCU offer online banking?
Yes, members can access balances, transfers, and loan information securely online. The TCCU mobile app can be downloaded through your phone App store.
Can I pay bills through SVGTCCU Mobile App?
Yes, we provide bill payment services for added convenience.
Which branches offer Western Union Services?
SVGTCCU Ltd. offers convenient Western Union services at our Barrouallie and Chateaubelair branches.
How much is the Death Benefit Plan?
In times of loss, the SVG Teachers Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. is here to provide support. Our Death Benefit Grant helps with funeral expenses, providing up to $7,500.00 to help ease the financial burden during a difficult time. Members contribute $55.00 annually toward the plan.
