The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. (SVGTCCU) invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Recoveries Officer.
Job Summary
The Recoveries Officer supports the maximization of income and minimization of losses by assisting in the management of delinquent and charged-off accounts. The role involves proactive debt recovery, negotiation with members, preparation of reports, legal coordination, and strict adherence to Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Contact delinquent members and establish repayment arrangements
- Monitor installment plans and recovery progress
- Coordinate repossessions and liaise with bailiffs and solicitors
- Negotiate settlements and assist with write-offs
- Prepare delinquency and recovery reports
- Maintain accurate financial records and correspondence
- Reconcile accounts with the Accounts Department
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines
Education and Experience
- First Degree in Management Studies, Finance, Banking, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking/financial services
- At least 3 years in collections or recoveries
- Knowledge of legal recovery procedures
- Experience with Emortelle will be an asset
